Assessing Identity

This lesson requires the creation of a photomontage collage using Photoshop.

This module will last 3 weeks.

Objective
To assess the underlying negative thought processes experienced by the learner throughout the learning process.

Instructions
1. During the first week of this module, create a list of terms that describe negative thoughts and feelings associated with learning. Use Google to search for and save photographic representations of your chosen terms.

2. In the second week, create a photomontage in Photoshop using the images saved. Feel free to arrange them in any way, and incorporate text, color, or filters. Once you are satisfied with your photomontage, save it as a JPEG and upload it to your blog.

3. In addition to your photomontage, write about the project, what you liked about it, what you didn't, the choices you made and how they represent your negative thoughts and feelings for learning. Properly cite all materials used using APA style.

4. For the third week, respond to at least two other classmates blog posts sharing thoughts, suggestions, and constructive criticism for issues other students face, and their creative work. Make substantive posts as these discussions are an important factor in the learning process of assessing oneself to gain new perspectives of learning.

Assessment
The assessment for this lesson is based on active participation in the discovery of factors related to negative learning experiences. The discussion serves as the main focus of this assessment as the student shares their experiences and perspectives with other students, while considering methods to overcome their learning blocks. In addition to the discussion, applied technique is considered through knowledge and ability to complete the project using required medium.
